I went to the doc. He took samples from my vagina. Which turned out that I have two bacterias. I believe on is candida and the other had a weird name. Point is he prescribed metronidazole vaginal cream for 5 days, and then monistat for another 5 days. Total of ten days in treatment.
I finished metronidazole and I still feel the same. In fact metronidazole has made me itcher, I was already a tiny itchy but now i am itchier.
I begun monistat yesterday and so far I don’t see anything improvement.
I must say I have a horrible history of yeast infections.
with all that being said, here are my questions.
1. Could you tell me or have an idea of what my second bacteria is ?
2. Could all this medications hurt my baby?
3. Is this ever going to get better ? This is becoming painful to deal with. I cannot please my man since I am taking medication. I feel akward and I can’t be myself.

To answer your question, I would think vaginitus for your second one, nothing serious since monistat is what was prescribed, and your OB would never give you anything that would harm your baby worse then what you have. And what you have isn’t bad enough to be considered a problem. It is going to get better for sure, you will be okay within a week or so, just keep taking the medicine. Don’t worry about pleasing him, he should be able to live for atleast a week

3.stick with it..no cheating since,if you do have sex than you will just have to retake everything again.
The second bacteria could be vaginitis. This is just a bacteria infection in the vagina, not an STD. This could cause itching, and discharge.
The medications will not hurt your baby.
It will get better
Just keep taking your medications. If this doesn’t heal up the first round, you may have to go back and do a second round.
how can we tell u have to call ur doc and ask him usually docs want prescibe monistat when pregnant but i dk call and him find out what going on down there
