Yeast Infection Driving Me Crazy!?

About 2 weeks ago I went to Urgent Care because I was sick. They put me on a STRONG ANTIBIOTIC.

I got a yeast infection a week later. It went away on it’s own after a week and the day it was gone i went back to the doctor for a re-check.

She told me, next time, when i get antibiotics ask for a prescription for a yeast infection pill.

I said, GREAT!

Well, 2 days later my yeast infection flared up again and I called to see if they would give me that prescription.

They said NO you have to come in and be seen.

I told them I HAVE NO MORE MONEY TO KEEP COMING IN HERE, THIS WOULD BE THE 3RD TIME IN 2 WEEKS AND YOU SAW ME 2 DAYS AGO AND I TOLD YOU I HAD AN INFECTION.

The woman gave me a hard time and said sorry, you have to be seen.

And I said, "why, so i can go in, tell them my symptoms AGAIN and they can give me the prescription."

She said, "They need to do a urine test"

I’m seriously PISSED OFF that they’re trying to get money out of me since they were the ones that did this and I KNOW i have a yeast infection from the pills.

I NEED RELIEF BUT I DON’T HAVE THE MONEY, NOR THE TIME, NOR DO I FEEL COMFORTABLE BEING "EXAMINED" FOR THIS PROBLEM.

I DONT feel comfortable getting the cream things you stick in your vagina, it makes me uncomfortable even thinking that, which is why i asked for an oral pill!

WHAT CAN I DO!

I want this to go away but I can’t get any doctor to give me the pills without PAYING THEM AGAIN to come in and tell me what I already know!!!

I won’t use monistat or anything else like it!
actually, no it’s not The same at all.
Like I said, I went back for a re-check for my ear infection, told the doctor what was going on but said it was going away and instead of giving me the pills she said next time, she’d just give me the prescription without tests because it happens to women when on strong antibiotics like I was.

I am so sick of seeing these commercials for all of these feminine products. Are they really necessary? I think it’s just a trick by male run companies to trick women into parting with their money. Sure yeast infections are real but most other issues are normal. Women sweat, just like men. If you want a vagina that tastes like lavender bubble bath then take a lavender bubble bath. Get over it! Women don’t stink they smell like women! Penises aren’t exactly the freshest things but women gladly suck on them.

see whats going on is that I have a small cluster of little hard bumps on the shaft of my penis..I dont know what it is and i dont have money to see a doctor at the moment. I know its not an STD because i have a girlfriend and I dont mess around on her and i know she isnt messing around because we are always together and she got checked about a week ago cuz she thought something was wrong with her downstairs so she had STD tests just to find out it was a yeast infection…so cheating is ruled out…so what could these little bumps on my penis be…someone please help me out…it hurts bad…thank you

Cause of esophageal candidiasis?

I’m a 22 year old male and was recently diagnosed with a yeast infection in my throat. No history of yeast problems – no thrush or skin infections. Also no problems with anxiety or depression.

Blood work is all within range, liver enzymes are normal. Negative for HIV, diabetes, Celiac, reflux, parasites. I’ve had a slew of tests run (Abdominal CT, Ultrasound, Barium Swallow) and everything looks normal except for swollen tonsils and a kidney stone. An ENT said my tonsils don’t look cancerous.

I’m running out of money and having the same symptoms – dysphagia, excessive belching and bloating, weight loss (25 lbs) and no energy (I used to be a gym rat). Any ideas?

I have a 10yr old male cocker spaniel. On his right paw it is dark in color?

I had seen this darkened color on his chest before and the vet said it was a yeast infection but it went away. My cocker spaniel has the hair all matted and wet from licking it and it is all stiff(the hair) I have tried soaking his paws in epsolm salts and scrubbing the paws with dog(oatmeal shampoo) and trying to keep it from him licking it but he continously licks it. I dont have money to take him to a vet right now. Is there something I can put on his paw? To help get rid of the yeast infection. Should I wrap his paw? It does have a small odor to it. Please help
My 10yr old cocker is also blind and deaf

Hello, about 4 days ago my bf and I had sexual intercourse and the very next day we both seem to have gotten a yeast infection. I’ve had them before so I know I have it, but during the 7 years Ive been with my bf, this is the first time Ive seen him have one. His head is red and theres a rash on it that he says is itchy. Around the ring of his head is dry and peeling. He says it hurts when he pulls his skin back (he IS circumcised) Im assuming he has a Penile Yeast infection from the symptoms Ive looked up, problem is, I cant find anything on treatments. We cant afford to go to a doctor as we just went for me because I had Pharyngitis and they prescribed me meds, so were still payin for that (no insurance or money) I usually drink water and cranberry juice for my yeast infections but what are some home treatments that work for MALE yeast infections. I would like some advice from the male part since you guys would know best if uve had one before. But any advice is wanted
I just feel bad for him it looks horrible and painful. And hes scrubbing it with a wash cloth making the skin look raw. which I dont think is helping.

I Have A Male Yeast Infection- Need a second Opinion (From a ACTUAL Doctor!)?

Just last month (End of October). I had unprotected sex with my ex girlfriend (which now I totally regret.) Ever since then I have had redness, very itchy, stinging, etc. Just yesterday I was getting really worried, because It STILL had not gone away! I called my family doctor first, talked to the receptionist about it (My doctor was with another patient at the time). When i explained my symptoms she thought it was a STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection). I was first freaking out, because right away stupid me thought it means I had AIDS. I went to the hospital, after waiting for a doctor for 45 minutes closer to an hour, I finally get called in. The doctor seemed he was in a bad mood, didnt care what-so-ever. "So what seems to be going on?" he first asks. I started going on first about my symptoms with him. He quickly says "Drop your pants". So I did. And he maybe looked at it for 3 seconds and said; "You have a Yeast infection"… First i was like (I thought women only had Yeast Infections), but i did read online and Men can get it too. He told me nothing to be too worried about it. He gave me a prescription for Mylan-Fluconazole (150mg) (Anti-Fungal Pill) 2 tablets, take once to see if it gets better in a week, and if it didnt take the second tablet a week later. He was pretty much telling me, you need to remain calm you will be fine soon. So I took his advice and left. I took the pill when i got home. Later that night I decided to get a second opinion from a live doctor online (which costs money; anyone heard of getanswers.com (medical?) Explained the story to him and my symptoms, and he seemed very nice and helpful, and said "Your doctor told you the right information, you will be better within a week" (not in exact words, but pretty much). Today I was reading more information about Yeast infections, and this medication "Mylan-Fluconazole". The Yeast infection pages made it sound WAAY more serious than the doctor(s) explained. However this medication…. I maybe found 4 or 5 pages on it, and all I keep reading is that this medication is for "VAGINAL" Yeast infections!! I was like "HUH??" Isnt there suppose to be one specifically for men?? Please, if there are any doctors out there who can give me a serious, good medical opinion on this. Am I really going to get better soon?? Or am I going to end up dead in a year from a STI??
I apologize i should be a little more specific about the problem. It is on my penis, and i do have a clear fluid (like seamen) that coats the tip. Discharge… maybe a little bit of white puss but theres barely any.

Treatment for male yeast infection in the prostate gland — is my boyfriend being ripped off?

I had a yeast infection and have passed it onto my boyfriend (I told him I can’t have sex but he insisted). I had 2 labtests to confirm that it was yeast infection.

My boyfriend, the stupid jerk, went to a private male hospital to get the "good" (expensive) stuff. Yesterday they stuck a tube down his penis and shot medication into his testicles that way. The doctor claimed that he needed to make his sperms stronger after the infection, so the doctor put him on some kind of IV for an hour, and told him to return today for a follow up treatment. My boyfriend paid 0 for that "yeast infection treatment".

Today my boyfriend went back to the hospital and the doctor put him on that IV for another 3 hours, and paid another 0 for that "follow up yeast infection treatment".

The doctor had, Once AGAIN, told my boyfriend to return tomorrow to test his sperm samples and get some oral medication and God knows do another "treatment" for another grand or something I don’t know.

The doctor told my boyfriend, and I quote, "strong and healthy and athletic guys get these infections easier because they exercise and get tired afterwards, and that’s the time when their immune system is the weakest"……………………………. WHAT!!! So ok… unhealthy people don’t get tired after they exercise? Weak people have better immune systems after they don’t get tired from exercising?…. and the doctor said "don’t make your sex sessions last for too long, it makes you tired and when you get tired, you’ll get an infection easier"….

I can understand if he has sex with me for a long session, he might be more susceptible to a yeast infection because he was exposed to my vagina for a longer period of time. But… What is this doctor saying? I don’t get it!…. Is it me? Or is the doctor right? Or he wants more money? Someone please explain this to me.

I told my boyfriend — YOU GOT RIPPED OFF…. My doctor gave me several pills and some vaginal tablets for like not even 0 including the labtest and everything. My boyfriend was like "you’re not the doctor, men and women are different! You’re stupid"….

Is he being ripped off? Is that how they treat yeast infection in the prostate gland for men? I’m just thinking, I do get yeast infections every now and then, and what if it happens to my boyfriend again, would he have to spend a grand on a stupid yeast infection treatment next time??
If he’s lying about what he was being treated for, (in other words he cheated and caught something nasty), based on the treatment, what disease does that sound like he caught?

Question about male yeast infections?

My boyfriend has a yeast infection, and it hasn’t gone away with the over the counter cream he has. It’s been there for about a month, not getting any better. He doesn’t have the money to go to the doctor to get prescription cream.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have some leftover perscription Lotrisone cream from a yeast infection a while ago. Would this work on him, or is that only for women?
