I have been checked for all STDs except for herpes. I have never had an outbreak, as far as I know, but I hear sometimes there are no outbreaks. Just subtle symptoms.
Well here’s the thing—I’ve been having reoccuring yeast infections for over a year now. At least that’s what i THINK they are. I’ve even been tested for yeast infections at the doctors a few times, and it always comes up positive. But I heard even doctors can mistaken herpes for Yeast infections.
I don’t have much itching or pain when I have yeast infections. In fact, practically no itching and definitely no pain. And I also don’t have any odor, so I –know its not bv–bacterial vaginosis. And the strangest part—is that there’s not even usually a discharge anymore. The white, clumpy stuff kind of clings to the walls now, and I would have to put a finger inside to pull it out.
If you have herpes, do you have these kinds of symptoms?
IMPORTANT: Whenever I use monistat or dyflucan or any other yeast infection medicine, the infection either doesn’t go away or only goes away for a few days.

Im talking abou the pills. Does it CURE the infection or is it one of those things that just relievs you until you see a doctor. I have a yeast infection and I dont want to go to the doctor and I dont want to use monistat or any other suppository that I have to stick up there. Its external itching anyway.
thanks! =]

Hello,
can anyone give me some insight….I usually get yeast infections after I take a course of antibiotics, the problem this time is, Im still taking the antibiotic and am starting to experience the begining signs of a yeast infetion…im not done with the antibiotic and wont be for another 3 or 4 days….
My question: will taking the diflucan or monistat while still taking the antibiotic defeat the purpose or do you think the yeast infection medication will kick in…
anyone with any experience with this please chime in! thanks in advance.

Please someone tell me i’m just being paranoid!!!
I havent slept all night thinking about this. I was in walgreens last night reading the back of some monistat and it said "Yeast infections could be caused by contact with HIV" so i’m like OMG WTF!!!!! Everytime after I have sex (which is protected) I get a yeast infection. I went to the doctor for it the first time and she took some of my vaginal fluid or as I call it "vaggiie cheese" and she said well it’s not that much so it could just be irritation. Sooooo I was suppost to make an appointment with the gynocologist but only the male doctor is in until March. & Idk about anyone else but I’m not really comfy with some guy looking into my coochie professional or not I’ve seen some weird movies. & I don’t really think it’s per-say a yeast infection. I think it’s irritation. It’s barely any "vagiie cheese" and it just itches like wooow. No burning and I don’t have any HIV symptoms and the dude I’m with doesn’t even have health insurance. No job and no health insurance he can’t afford HIV medication. I searched his house up and down and I found no HIV related medication (i know the medications because some people in my family have it) soo pleeaassee someone just tell me im being paranoid :’( I’m about to go to a clinic that’s not even open yet!!!

A woman can treat a YI by simply applying Monistat or a related product. I just read that YI’s can be passed on to men. Is there an OTC med for them? I’ve heard rumors of Monistat being a possible med for them. Any insights?
Thanks!
