I do not have my period yet, but i have been getting discharge for about 3/4 of a year. Recently, it has been getting thicker, and it has a disgusting odor (ew!). also, my vaginal area is itchy on the inside and out. i have done some research, and the symptoms are adding up, but i cant be positive. and dont tell me to tell my mom because there is no way i am going to a doctor and having her poke around down there! haha. so, anyways, please help, like if you went through the same thing when you were thirteen??

Sarah and David were sexually active and after they broke up David told Sarah that he had a yeast infection about the same time they stopped having sex and broke up. He said she was the only person he was having sex with. He occasionally drinks beer.
3 months after not having sex with David, Sarah has not had any symptoms of a yeast infection or anything out of the norm at all with her vaginal area or any where else on her body or mouth. No symptoms of anything, especially yeast infection. No smell from vaginal discharge, no "cottage cheese" looking vaginal discharge, no pain or itching around the vaginal area, nothing! She has been on birth control for over 2 years.
Is it possible that David could have gotten his yeast infection from Sarah even though she shows no symptoms of it? Or did David get it from himself (decreased immune system) or other places (yeast in foods, beer)?

My gf came to the OBGYN "male" doctor. She specifically asks for an appointment just to check for her vaginal area for a possible "yeast infection". The "male" doctor advised her to take a pap smear and insists on asking her to also take a breast exam. She politely said "no" to the breast exam but he went on right ahead touching her breasts even though she already said "no" on the breast exam. My gf said he examed it for about 2 minutes. Then the nurse came in and EVEN said, she only came here for a check up on her "vaginal" area, NOT also a breast exam. It’s like you go to MC Donalds and order a Cheeseburger and they asks you "Do you want fries with that?" You politely said "no" but STILL they give you the freaking fries!! Tell me as a "Boyfriend"…should I not or or should get mad at this situation?

Okay first off.
I’m 15, i havent had sex in my life (Save it for marriage), my grandma is taking me to the doctor because i most likely have a yeast infection.
First question: Is it contagious? Like can my family get it by ME just being around them?
Second Question: Is it a STD/STI?
Third Question: Whats the difference between Yeast infection bumps and blisters?
And these are my symptoms.
- My vaginal area is itchy and also red
- I have a white discharge, it doesnt have an odor, almost looks like cottage cheese.
- I have bumps by my vaginal lips that i found today (looks like blisters) Yes i used a mirror, i was scared it was genital herpes, but im not sexually active so thats not it.
- I’m also itchy AROUND my vagina.
- It SOMETIMES burns when i pee, or i have a difficult time, and it gets really annoying.
Just to be sure. Do you think i could have a Yeast infection, or a STD/STI ?
And can you get a STI/STD when your not sexually active?
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION!
What do the doctors do when they see if you have a yeast infection?
Please, do they have to look down there? obviously yes, but what else do they do?
Girls: No i dont wear thongs, YUCK! and that girl who said "ew" its common for females to get it, so you’ll most likely get it in your life time. GOOD LUCK!
